Why Alaska?

Recently a friend asked the question-Why are you going to Alaska?
What do I want to see:

Nature
Wildlife- though not too close to some. Eagles and other birds, bears, Dahl Sheep, caribou, moose, salmon (don’t need to see mosquito!)

Tundra Flowers
Glaciers- Prince William Sound

Location: Arctic Circle! Denali (Mt. McKinley)
Light: Sun never setting on June 20?

Culture
Totem Poles- in place.
Russian heritage- Nesting dolls for CJ?
Dog sled- Demo at Denali NP?
Alaska Pipeline- no spills-Valdez?
History of Gold Rush or War
Fishing? At the grocery store.
