Some pictures from the spring farm.  We do have fruit this year on many trees.  A relief after 2011 winter gave us a break.  This last picture is an apricot on tree.

We have finished planting almost all the seedlings we started this winter.  Had some that we were able to move into year 2 of the seed saving program, like the basil in picture

Also found a nice set of old buggy  supports that have now become the border for the succulents and metal work cactus.  They were located when digging the garden.  Previous residents had told us that where our greenhouse is located, used to be the barn.  We've found lots to support that and it's made it difficult to dig out the area, however, the barn held pigs, sheep and milk cows.  These remains, along with our current composting and double digging, is what our greenhouse and garden soil was made from.
2012 has some interesting new plantings and I'm excited to see what we can grow (and keep chickens from eating!)
