Today is the day that I had planned to take in my retractable clothes line. We found this antique about 6 years ago and it's been great to hang clothes and sheets outside in the desert. This morning, the temp was 31 degrees and we had snow falling. I had to do a load of sheets but couldn't bring myself to leave the blanket and quilt on without airing them out. By 10 AM, the sheets were in, but the temperature was warming? Another day of outside laundry? The fresh smell can't be matched. The sun came out and it seems that even some of the mud that Molli brought in came out.
Making the bed after this had been hanging outside makes me appreciate the clean air we have. To shake out the winter blues with that bed made with sheets and blankets that smell so good...I think I need a nap...and I'm not taking the Retractable clothes line inside yet. Maybe we will need it inside for February. For now, I can still hang some things outside.
