I've been looking forward to a driving trip out East. We have family there and when I fly in, I can't do the back roads and see the way people live. I want to see local.
This trip presents a pretty good chance for us. We have plenty of time and while Molli is a great travel dog, we agreed to let her stay in Santa Fe with our friends Skye, Chica, Sloane and Cassidy (along with their people companions, Dad and Pam Walker). This is because it is tough in hot weather to know she is safe and we can do the things we want to do....like antique hunt and go to dive diners. She'll be happy with them and be in good company.
We've got the farm set to sustain itself with a couple of friends and good neighbors to help out. We have our powerful Wireless Card and hope that we can do a combination of camping and hotels to make our money go the farthest, but also to get some down time from our construction of the line shack and working to keep the farm going.
Good bye to horses, Ray and Katie and the kids will give you treats!
No, Molli, you can't take the cats!
Wes is guarding the place! Don't think you can go steel cherries or mulberries.
Arrived and having a refreshing local beverage. Santa Fe Nut Brown Ale with Gumby at dad's.
Gonna have to bring up some wood for him, but not until AFTER VACATION!
The adventure begins!
